hello. going to slack today. tmr, going to bowl again hopefully..kinda grown an addiction for it.. but it does'nt matter cos' i think *cross fingers* tt i'm going to try bowling in ac. it really depends on the expenses i have to spend and my parents approval. oh well..pray for the best. heard from eudora tt ac bowling rocks. will try to crash into the team. don't want to be bowling 'for fun' cos there's no thrill in that. So, for now, going to do some packing of my room. tata

ok...here it goes. this blog is opened yet again! is'nt mikey (mike wazowski) gorgeous..lol
so..anyway, this blog is for my day-to-day events and the other website on tripod- backfiredforward.tripod.com/ispilledthebeans - is for other fun stuff which i think are funny, photos which i remember so dearly, and other times i want to express my anger, frustration, joy, sorrow, elation, whatever-what-nots. hmm..otherwise..i'll go insane keeping all these bottled up. so yup..today, went to sentosa with farah, camellia, and my younger bro. haha..cycled, played frisbee and ball and built sandcastles! my favourite! we built this really cool sandcastle with slopes going up to the top and for a moment, it looked like a pile of poo..lol..really..alright..tt's all for now. finally figured out how everyone knows how to change their templates instead of the boring ones on blogspot..hehe

my cockroach story

once upon a time, when i was at home in the middle of the night..i decided to go to my parents' room to return something..which led me to my fate. i stepped on something which i predicted; was something like a rubber band or a piece of scotch tape. elimination began when i felt that it was sticky and kind of hard too. hmm.. to confirm my suspicions.. lo and behold! a dear friend from another species called the cockroach(scientific name: Periplaneta americana) was lying on the floor approx 50cm from me. a smear followed it..kind of transparent. anw.. it was utterly gross. so i looked and my mum and told her i stepped on a cockroach. realising tt i indeed have stepped on a cockroach..i screamed a sharp, piercing scream. hmm..not tt i do all the time. so i went to wash my leg by hopping to the kitchen in ultra-super speed. after washing..i thought dad; my insect-control hero had removed it. so i asked my mum and she said dad did'nt!? It came to my utmost realisation tt the cockroach had escaped (who knows with what entrails following it everywhere) .. and i saw it below my mum's feet! she screamed and it escaped again. Fortunately, cockroaches don't escape far if they are wounded. so i caught it with a plastic bag after much fuss.. I CAUGHT IT! i was immediately overwhelmed by pride..hehe.. -the end- splat.

alright. forgot to say tt c2's retro dance was ultra cool. filmed it on teacher's day. mr loh's reactions were so static. s2's not bad too..just need to be more punctual in handing in classfund..hmm. i sound like a loanshark again. went to sch. at 9am to watch the c2 production going out for $1.95 for their presidential suite..haha.. i realised my camera skills are'nt tt bad..er jie says i conspire against her cos' i zoomed in on her kinda alot of times..haha..warned her. going to do bio and chem. maybe a little maths. 10am was chem mock test. not too bad. talk about chem..

haha..managed to figure this thing out. so i'm blogging again. (i know i should'nt be doing it now..but make it the last till after prelims k..or maybe after my bd) today was english prelims. CME was kinda hard..maybe i'm too complacent..but cannot fail CME..what a disgrace. staying back because i failed CME..poof. after english prelims, we were cordially invited to the hall to attend a SS lesson. not really looking forward to it but for it to end. new stuff to learn bout' reliability. a source could be unreliable but useful..depending on the question. so..after tt, i bounced over to da jie. and we went to PS together.. well..not the two of us actually.. er jie was somewhere out there..seems like bourne identity to me..anw, yah..we were eating in mos when er jie suddenly popped out with the kind of grin tt she had managed to trick me..sigh. ok..so my intuition don't always work..then got treated iced strawberry by da jie. yum yum... talked and talked bout' rats? lizards? iq questions.. pple doing silly stuff to themselves.. anw, we'll totally against tt. they gave me a cow carpet..or mat..and it's kinda very cute and abstract. i did'nt know it was a cow till i came home! haha..i know.. i'm slow.. they were like talking bout' cows too! and i did'nt catch the hint. alright..then i'm here to figure out the blog thing. my bd is in 4 days! actually, i can say everyday is my bd. hmm.. maybe i'll stick with my original one. more meaningful.

Happy BIrhtday DeNise! so..birthday bashes this and next week..hmm..farah, yw, me, denise tan and chooey, mathura..so many..so i went on a shopping spree on sunday. kind of..thought of orchard..but presents don't always have to come from trees over there. so i went to suntec after a short recommendation by yansy. not bad.. stamps were cool! there were the american, australia, austria, sweden, United Nations, and the New Zealand booth! i bought bout' $46.20 worth of stamps! not bad..they even sell the Lord of the Rings stamps! cool huh. alright..birthday bash intro. over. today, pple were supposed to do the NE survey. you know sotongs like me have a reputation of being blur, so here i am..another episode of the sotong me! i went to do the survey when i was not supposed to. i even thought i was late.. oh well..juniors out there..don't learn this trait of mine.

AAD is tomorrow or maybe today..depends whether i'm cinderella today..hmm..oh well..hope the ppt slide for champion seminar turns out fine..took so freaking long to do it..not tt i don't know how to do a ppt..i took ages to find photos..sigh..well..at least it's done. nowadays i just can't seem to feel satisfied with the work i do for the day.. i don't usually complain ..but you know..i have to start nagging myself. it's kinda weird though.. talking to yourself.. don't you find it weird? well..i do..today .. geog mock test. went on kinda rocky..esp when you have three other pple sitting at the same bench as you..with maps..BIG maps somemore..then was house meeting. not tt it was unproductive or anything.. but was not really productive too..i know..i'm contradicting myself. always like to find new oxymorons nowadays. how bout' nearly perfect? or the common fighting for peace? check it out..oxymorons..cool.

wear the house shirt. i think she learnt her invaluable lesson..me too..don't wear when others are not wearing..next..chem first..then dmaths..chinese..recess..ss..
cme..it was so funny in cme..ms malini..who does'nt come for her lesson came suddenly cos' today got NE quiz..funny or what..the catwalk thing was even more funny..she made everyone walk in front of the whole class row by row..and then told us to have a straight back..cannot yaya..cannot slouch..cannot be shy..cannot have attitude problem..and she acted all of them out..then was bio test..haha..copying time..and the NE quiz..sigh..well..tt's it. but my life is'nt tt boring everyday..

today, as my feeling forcast predicted, is quite a happy day! well..began with mass run actually..now i neither dance nor run. it's duty time! sit there with hj and er jie and chill..pretty cool.. then at 11am~ , we had to go to the hall to take back o's chinese! "the tension was palpable" everyone article involving tension always says that. but nothing else can describe the blanket of emotions which looming in the hall. we improved from last yr's batch:with 100% passes and 63.1% distinctions! then the results..immense adrenaline rush...my heart in my mouth..then i peeped..woa.. nv expected so high. oral got merit..but good though.. hugged lin lao shi . she's gonna have to treat c2 and s2 pizza one of these days..haha. tonight is handover or more officially; the swearing in of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. have to watch soon..at 7.50pm. a cedarian asked for an invitation and got it! maybe next time i'll be as bold and ask Lee Hsien Loong for one. :)

yawn...must type this fast. today, er jie and i "finally" got to go for the geog talk on globalisation. yah..pple say 'woa'..so small think so big..but we have to right? can't be sitting at home reading a fiction book all day. so the talk goes like this: the guy's name is Henry Yeung. he is a NUS lecturer and some guy who is getting 'famous' by the day but no so yet in economical- geographical sense. Apparently, he's quite famous (found about 42000 results on him in google (TM) Anyway, the talk started with some NUS guys who promoted their geography modules and stuff. And the main impt part: Geography and Globalisation (1) basically, globalisation is a set of processes through which the world becomes more functionally integrated and interdependent. (2) globalisation needs national boundaries (3) the global-local dialectic; spaces of flows( borderless world) vs spaces of places (boundaries- presence of local e.g your own country) (4) Global and Local cannot be separated. (5) the world is unequal from the beginning.- pple are born rich/ poor. Globalisation enhances it-> results in increased tensions (6) with globalisation, the world becomes integrated ( space- shrinking tech.) (7) MNCs are actually TNCs (transnational companies) (8) Globalisation:#flows of capital and goods #movement of pple eg. migration #spacial diffusion of info and cultures (like pollination) #rise of international companies e.g UN, ASEAN, EU, World Bank, NAFTA, WTO, APEC, IMF (9) although globalisation makes us 'similar' (homogenisation), the more pple want to be diff.->" uniquely Singapore" (10) Good of GLobalisatiOn : you see products not made locally e.g Coke (R) (11) BAD of GLobalisatiON : #north-south divide-> poor get poorer/rich get richer #developed-developing divide #urban-rural divide CONCLUSION: world getting more uneven. well, i guess i have to start something..like this. my favourite word of the day! haha..bleah..today started with chem prac..fun: 4/10. hard work: 10/10. well..then went to eat popcorn chicken..yummy..but tough..must be from the kampung. malcom in the middle is so hilarious..the dad stole a wrong bag containing snorkels then he went back and returned it and stole the "right" one..it turned out to be flippers instead of the leg spa he was suppose to give his wife as valentine's day present.. well..talk about funny. my dad's on tv..sang home and we will get there on stage in mita building..ha..famous in my eyes..maths is rooted in me..prelims is coming..must rememeber.
