Investiture 2005 - the start of a new beginning
ahh.. today is a very enormously fantastically touching and inspirational day.. 30ths' council invest! for a first-timer is such a big family, i have to say tt council rocks beyond anything i say right now.. since this morning, though red-eyed frm the lack of sleep, 29ths and 30ths alike were sort of like anticipating something.. something inevitable and due to come. ah..then the time come where the seniors unzipped and we started walking down the aisle. hearing all of your friends and classmates cheer you on just makes you smile even wider : ) to know tt you're walking that aisle to do something great and beneficial for the whole sch makes all the invest rehearsals and countless times of standing up and sitting down worthwhile. like Dr Gordon Wong said, and what all of us must really keep at bay: arrogance and anguish. i guess if we 30ths have the perspective and mindset tt we're ultimately gg to do everything for the glory of God, the rest of it would fall into place, despite countless setbacks we're gg to face on the way. It was simply touching to see the 29ths all so ready to 'take their seats' no matter how hard it was..(with lots of tears of course) and i'm really grateful for such wonderful seniors as them.. despite jailing us in june camp and the countless 'knock it downs' we had to do. frankly speaking, i never felt so integrated into council till this day, and i can reassure myself tt it's worth it to actually pay the first 5 bucks to council for the nomination form because of the past experiences and future ones i would encounter with my dearest fellow 30ths. ONE COUNCIL!
